What is needed:

  • Better Matcha Powder
  • Large cup/bowl
  • Bamboo or teaspoon
  • Bamboo or whisk

preparation

  • Heat some water (not boiling, about 70°C).
  • Add one to two bamboo spoons (or just under a teaspoon) of matcha powder into the cup.
  • Add a small amount of hot water (about 20-30 ml) to the matcha powder.
  • Use the bamboo whisk or whisk to mix the powder with the water to form a smooth paste. Make sure there are no lumps.
  • Additionally, pour about 80-100 ml of hot water into the cup.
  • Foam the matcha with the bamboo whisk or whisk. Make quick, even movements in a W shape until a fine, even layer of foam is formed.
